Fast Lane Taxes Inc. does not provide legal advice or investment advice.
2. CLIENT INTAKE DOES NOT GUARANTEE ACCEPTANCE
Submitting a client intake form, uploading documents, requesting an estimate, scheduling an appointment, communicating with a preparer, or providing tax information does not automatically establish an obligation for Fast Lane Taxes Inc. to prepare or file a tax return.
Fast Lane Taxes Inc. reserves the right to accept or decline any prospective client or tax engagement when permitted by law.
We may decline, pause, or discontinue preparation when:
- Required information cannot be verified.
- Requested documentation is not provided.
- Information provided appears incomplete or inconsistent.
- The client refuses to answer required due-diligence questions.
- The client requests a tax position that we cannot reasonably support.
- Fraud, misrepresentation, identity concerns, or other compliance issues are suspected.
- The requested return exceeds the assigned preparer’s training or authority.
- Continuing the engagement would create a security, ethical, compliance, or professional concern.
Our standard is:
IF YOU CANNOT VERIFY IT, DO NOT CLAIM IT.
3. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, truthful, and timely information.
Clients agree to:
- Provide all requested income documents and tax records.
- Disclose all known income, including income that may not appear on a tax document.
- Provide accurate dependent, residency, household, business, education, and expense information.
- Respond truthfully to due-diligence questions.
- Provide supporting documentation when requested.
- Notify Fast Lane Taxes Inc. of material changes or corrections.
- Review the completed tax return before authorizing filing.
- Confirm names, Social Security numbers, addresses, banking information, dependents, income, deductions, credits, filing status, and other material information.
- Pay applicable preparation and service fees.
- Maintain copies of tax documents and completed returns for their records.
Clients may not request that Fast Lane Taxes Inc. knowingly omit income, create expenses, fabricate documentation, change facts, claim an ineligible dependent, manipulate filing status, or otherwise alter a tax return solely to generate a particular tax result.
Fast Lane Taxes Inc. may stop preparation if such a request is made.
4. TAX RETURN ACCURACY & CLIENT REVIEW
Fast Lane Taxes Inc. prepares tax returns using information provided by the taxpayer and other information reasonably available during the engagement.
Before filing, clients are expected to carefully review their completed return.
Authorization to electronically file a return represents the client’s confirmation that, to the best of the client’s knowledge, the information submitted is accurate and complete.
Fast Lane Taxes Inc. does not guarantee that a tax return will result in:
- A refund
- A specific refund amount
- A particular tax liability
- Approval of any deduction or credit
- Acceptance of any tax position
- A specific IRS or state processing time
- Freedom from audit, examination, adjustment, or other review
5. DUE DILIGENCE & ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTATION
Certain tax benefits and return positions require additional inquiry, documentation, or due diligence.
Fast Lane Taxes Inc. may request additional documentation or clarification before completing a return.
This may include questions or records relating to:
- Head of Household filing status
- Dependents
- Earned Income Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Additional Child Tax Credit
- Credit for Other Dependents
- Education credits
- Form 8862
- Self-employment
- Schedule C businesses
- Business income
- Business expenses
- Income or expense reconstruction
- Household support
- Residency
- Relationship tests
- Other credits, deductions, filing statuses, or tax positions
Failure to provide requested information may result in the applicable item not being claimed or the engagement being declined.
6. TAX PREPARATION FEES
Tax preparation fees are generally based on the complexity and services required for each return.
Additional fees may apply for items including:
- Business or self-employment schedules
- Multiple state returns
- Prior-year returns
- Amended returns
- Additional forms or schedules
- Income reconstruction
- Complex tax research
- Notice assistance
- Additional professional services
Applicable fees will be disclosed through the engagement, checkout, invoice, bank-product documentation, or other payment process.
Unless otherwise agreed, required fees must be paid or properly authorized before the completed return is released or electronically filed.
7. REFUND ADVANCES & BANK PRODUCTS
Fast Lane Taxes Inc. may offer access to refund-related financial products through third-party banks or financial service providers.
Approval for any refund advance, refund transfer, or similar bank product is not guaranteed by Fast Lane Taxes Inc.
Eligibility, approval, loan amounts, disbursement timing, fees, underwriting, and other terms are determined by the applicable financial institution or provider.
A tax refund advance is not the taxpayer’s actual tax refund. When applicable, it is a financial product offered subject to the third-party provider’s terms.
Fast Lane Taxes Inc. is not responsible for a bank’s decision to approve or deny a financial product.
8. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS — TAX SERVICES
Clients may request cancellation before a tax return is filed.
However, cancellation does not eliminate fees for professional services or work already completed.
If substantial preparation, research, review, administrative work, or other professional services have already been performed, the corresponding fees remain due.
No refund is available simply because:
- A tax return has already been filed.
- A client’s refund is lower than expected.
- A client owes taxes.
- A refund is delayed.
- A refund is offset or intercepted.
- A return is selected for review or audit.
- A credit or deduction is denied by a taxing authority.
- A client changes their mind after work has been performed.
- A client later chooses another tax preparer.
Please also review our separate Refund, Cancellation & Payment Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms & Conditions.

Failure to attend, participate, complete assignments, complete the program, or use available course materials does not create eligibility for a refund.

Choosing an installment-payment option does not alter the underlying Fast Lane Taxes refund policy.
16. CHARGEBACKS & PAYMENT DISPUTES
Customers are encouraged to contact Fast Lane Taxes Inc. regarding a billing concern before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute.
